We create engaging “Reading Experiences” that support early learners from Pre-K through Elementary, empowering them to become lifelong readers through programs that spark imagination and strengthen reading comprehension skills.
OUR MISSION
Connection To Creativity (C2C) is founded on the belief that every child deserves the tools and support needed to learn how to read and comprehend literature at, or above, grade level. Our programs support early learners from Pre-K through Elementary to become life-long readers through programs that spark imagination and strengthen reading comprehension skills.
Approximately 40% of students across the nation cannot read at a basic level.
Our impact spans across 200 schools, both locally and internationally, We are building home libraries for families with our In - House Field Trips.

OUR STORY
Connection To Creativity (C2C) believes every child deserves the support needed to learn how to read at or above grade level. We create engaging programs for readers from Pre-K through Elementary that spark the imagination and stimulate reading comprehension.
A former librarian, Miss Stephaney struggled to find ways to help her eldest son Aliko, fall in love with books. His challenges with reading negatively impacted the rest of his schoolwork. In an effort to share her love for books and reading, Miss Stephaney embarked on a mission to find creative ways of supporting Aliko’s reading journey. She discovered that presenting reading opportunities through an interactive lens would help him connect and engage with the material, thereby allowing him to achieve a richer and more comprehensive reading experience while having lots of fun!
Since 2015, Connection To Creativity has helped young children find joy and value in reading. Our fun and engaging approach to books along with our unique support materials offer parents, schools and the community a number of tools to help young scholars flourish in their reading journey!

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Connection To Creativity was founded by Stephaney Mcgregor, mother of Aliko & Dakarai. As a former librarian, Miss Stephaney has always felt a deep connection to books, literacy, and sharing the joy of reading with children.
When she discovered Aliko’s struggles with reading, Miss Stephaney did everything she could to support and encourage him. During this time, she noticed many other children also struggling with reading and it tugged at her heart. While every child’s learning journey may be different, Miss Stephaney soon realized that Art was the great equalizer. She found unique ways of creatively connecting the books her son was reading with various forms of art: dramatic readings, music, dance, painting and watched as her son, along with children from various backgrounds, became increasingly more interested in books.
Since 2015, Miss Stephaney has hosted countless events that connect literacy and creativity. These include:
Books Bringing The Beats... where school choirs read and interpret books through music;
Playful Picasso... where young creatives engage in a read and paint scavenger hunt.
Guest Readers... who excite and inspire the children through animated or dramatic readings.
Through Connection To Creativity, Miss Stephaney hopes to help all children find joy in reading!
